Thats why were looking for just the right person who will oversee the day-to-day operation of managing single-family home properties as a Property Manager for Waypoint Homes. We depend on property managers like you to work with residents all the way from move-in to move-outto act as a champion for our clients. This means paying special attention to resident requests, ensuring properties are well maintained, coordinating lease renewals and handling accounts receivable. Plus, youll take part in planning community events. You take personal responsibility for the financial performance of the homes you manage and make sure to report on that performance in a timely manner.

Taking responsibility to manage a host of single family residential homesand then maximizing the overall operating income per asset and portfoliois a tall order. If you think youre up for the job, wed like the chance to talk with you. You need to be especially strong in customer service, interpersonal communication and be extremely organized. With a positive, can-do attitude and a commitment to excellence, you focus on achieving business goals based on company objectives and metrics. This means you have the ability to create, implement and generate financial reporting out of specified systems. In addition, you can work well using mobile office tools and have a strong grasp on property management software programs. With all this responsibility, you naturally can interact with a diverse range of individuals and you know what it means to work independently, and as a member of a team or part of a committee.
You are comfortable with overseeing approvals of resident applications, maintaining occupancy levels and ensuring positive relationships with residents. Your knack for managing electronic lease files and guaranteeing quality control in your file management is outstanding. Youre able to handle whatever is thrown at youwhether its fielding incoming calls and walk-in visits at the Resident Service Center or assessing property conditions, recommending minor repairs and conducting property inspections. Youre also good with money. This means youre totally comfortable for all cash handling and managing accounts for the assets youre assigned to.
When it comes to putting yourself out there, youre one step ahead. Part of your role is participating in team projects to enhance resident relations and overall satisfaction, and helping create an annual outreach plan to coordinate quarterly resident events. Because you know its the little extras that really add value to your role. You come with experience and educationat least five years of expertise in property management and three years as a manager of over at least 300 units. You have access to your own vehicle. Plus youve got your own personal cell phone and youre highly flexibleworking evenings and weekends as needed. Experience with property management software is a huge perkthree years is preferredprograms like Yardi, MRI, Onesite and Propertyware. And probably most importantwhen people describe you, they say youre a real go-getter who likes to make a difference in the business and in peoples lives.
